Setlists
These are genuine copies of actual setlists composed in Jon's scawl, therefore neither Jon or the Trainarmy.com webmaster is responsbile for your eyesight. You have been warned.
Setlists will be posted weekly, as long as the webmaster can filch them from Jon after the gigs and return them to him unharmed.
Here's one last thought about setlists, in general. Though a considerable amount of thought is applied when creating a setlist and pen is indelibly committed to paper, a setlist is not a contract. It's quite possible that there were musical additions and/or omissions on a given night, so you may claim, "Oh ho! I was there and John Train did NOT play "Ramblin Man", since I did not stray from my barstool and was fully captivated not to miss a single note!" You may be correct, but alas, it must be clarified that a setlist serves only as musical framework or narrative, if you will, for the evening at hand. There are many variables that may cause the band to improvise, deviate, "call an audible". Such variables include a "request" (from an enthusiastic audience participant, band member, bartender...etc.), fervet revelry in close proximity of said band, and of course, "moodiness". Ultimately, this is what is known as "spontaneity" and is one of the hundreds of reasons why you appreciate and support live music. It's not all about fine beverages or a band's winning charm and good looks.
